Burndy Y46LWSBH has superseded the Y46 HYPRESS remotely operated 10,000psi hydraulic crimp head provides 15 tons of crimp force with a “C” shaped head to allow easy placement and removal from continuous connectors.
Dies and adapters lock into place via push-button die locks in this forged steel and precision-machined head.
Y46C is available with rubber molding for impact protection of the head, lower body, and coupling, and Y46-2 is available with a female coupler (call for pricing and lead time).
Designed for Cu terminals, splices, and taps 8-1500 kcmil, Al terminals and splices 8-1250 kcmil, and ACSR applications.
Accepts “P” series and “U” series (with PUADP-1 adapter) dies. 5-year limited warranty.
The Y46C does the same function; it just has a cover on it.
